This page covers the personal details Oswald23 collects on oswald23.com: what we collect, what we use it for, who else handles it, and how long we keep it. "We" means Oswald23 (ABN 20 645 480 496).

The contact form

When you send the form, we get your name, email and message by email, and we use them to reply to you. The form doesn't save them anywhere else.

Your site at oswald23.com/app

We get your email when you enter it to claim your site or sign in, or when someone with full access on a site adds you. We use it to sign you in and to email you about your site, like sign-in links, who joins it, reminders before your domain renews, and notices before a charge.

Other people on a site can see your email. We email them when you claim the site or someone adds you, and we name you when you add or remove someone, ask to take the site, or take it offline.

If you got a link to claim your site, we tell whoever sent it whether the link has been used, so nobody sends you a reminder you don't need. We don't give them your email.

We keep a history of what happens on each site, like who signed in, who changed the site, who added people, and which choice was made. We use it to help you and to keep the site safe.

What you publish on your site is public. Edits you haven't saved stay in your browser until you save them, discard them or sign out.

Payments

Payments for Keep it go through Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe's page, and we never see your card number. We can see your name, email, billing address, the last 4 digits of your card and its expiry date, and your invoices. Stripe uses your address to work out tax.

When you agree to our terms at checkout, we keep a record of it.

Take it

To move a domain to you, we ask for the legal owner's name, address, phone and email. If you choose your own Cloudflare account, we also ask for that account's email. We give these details to Cloudflare, the domain's registrar, to change the owner on record. Depending on the domain's ending, the registrar may show some of them in public domain records.

If the legal owner is someone else, please tell them you're giving us their details and point them to this page.

We delete our copy of these details, the transfer code and your site download 90 days after the move is finished. At the same time, we take everyone off the site at oswald23.com/app. If a request is canceled, we delete the details 90 days later.

Cookies

We set a cookie when you sign in, to keep you signed in for up to 14 days. The editor sets its own cookie for the same reason, for up to 4 hours. We don't use cookies for ads or tracking, and we don't use analytics.

Who else handles your details

We use these companies to run our services, and each one gets only what it needs. Vercel hosts our websites and stores site downloads. Neon hosts our database. Resend sends our emails. Google Workspace holds our email inbox. Stripe handles payments. Cloudflare is the registrar for the domains we manage.

If you search for photos in the editor, Pexels gets your search words. If you bring in a Google Doc, we fetch it from Google with the link you give us. Neither gets your personal details.

Some of these companies store data outside Australia, including in the United States.

How we keep it safe

Your details are kept with the companies above, in accounts that need a password or a secret key to reach. Sign-in links work once and stop working after 20 minutes. Site downloads are private: each one needs you to be signed in, and its link works for 2 minutes.

Decisions our software makes

Some things happen on their own, with no person deciding. Our software sends the reminders and notices, cancels a plan that is still unpaid 3 days after the domain expires, cancels a Take it request when your part of the move isn't done three weeks and two reminders after the last step (or by the day the domain expires, if your part hasn't moved for a week), closes a site when nothing was chosen, and deletes accounts and details on the dates on this page. It goes by the site's dates, payments and choices. If you think it got something wrong, email us.

How long we keep it

Your account at oswald23.com/app: until you're no longer on any site. Then we delete it and its history. This happens when you're removed, when a site closes after its domain expires, when a site is taken offline, and 90 days after a site is taken.

We keep the record that you agreed to the terms.

A site that closes after its domain expires is removed from oswald23.com/app 3 days after the expiry, along with its download. A site taken offline is removed straight away, along with its download.

Your site's words and images stay in our database after the site closes, is taken offline or is taken. You can ask us to delete them.

Take it details and downloads: 90 days after the move.

Payment records: Stripe keeps them, and we keep invoices for as long as tax law requires.

Contact form emails: in our inbox, as a record of what we talked about. You can ask us to delete them.

Our hosting provider keeps logs of requests to our websites, including IP addresses, for a few days.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete them. Email us and we'll reply within 30 days. If we have to keep something, like an invoice, we'll tell you.

If you think we've mishandled your details, email us and say what happened. We'll look into it and reply within 30 days.

Changes to this page

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
